I more often than not dislike posed photographs.. selfies included.. I for one frankly fail to understand the craze behind a “Selfie”.. wonder who coined that in the first place…

I am an ignoramus for ignoring selfies ..and a proud one at that…..

Rant-1

I do like photographs of nature.. except those photographs of nature available on the internet with messages “subject to copyright”…which kind of ticks me off…

Its like the “part” that tries to  stake claim of the “whole”… the whole which has been shrunk.. crammed…onto the size of a snap..

If one pursues a hobby which is joyous to him(scenic photography in this case)…he simply shares…

A well shares its waters to anybody thirsty… the more it shares… the more it distributes it water… the more it replenishes itself from streams of water underground….the more it remains “alive”.. else it simply stagnates…

Similarly with scenic photography…u simply share that which provides u joy… in the hope that something shared joyously radiates onto a person who receives…or  views it in this digital age…and share it further…

And frankly… in front of natures grandeur… in terms of its sheer size and landscapes that if offers.. naturally free… to the “seer”…in terms of its “infinitism”  does a piddly little name staking claim to copyright.. really make sense…

Can we really pay back Nature… It simply stands in all its grandeur… It does not differentiate between race, sex, or income… It does not provide a “differential” class of service… to the privileged few…From natures perspective humans too, much like animals are a part of nature… its intrinsic undivided part. It does not treat us …humans as a separate entity…

Now to the 2nd rant…

And more often than not… this is my observation… that people are very keyed up…when the come en-route a scenic spot… to engrossed to have their snaps clicked… they miss falling into the lap of nature…

In places of such pristine beauty…over there too… “The individual” is the focus…We are too damned focussed on ourselves…Click a snap and move on….try to find another location and click another snap…and to post the entire lot of snaps onto Facebook….to try and get some likes…and feel wanted…feel accepted…

Personally the snap would have been better off without the individual/individuals….

These scenic locations.. are of great beauty…they are meditative… they are a natural  relaxant… they are energy centres which can help relax… which can help heal…a medium through which we can forget our self… and all our worries… and experience a “unity”…Not me and nature… but only nature…
